Mark E. Murphy, RN, NP

Mark serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for St. Peter’s Health Partners in Albany and St. Joseph’s Health in Syracuse. In this role, he is responsible for the development, planning, implementation, communication, and sustainment of the strategic plan for the Capital District and Central New York regions for Trinity Health. Mark is responsible for aligning the regional health system’s strategic priorities in accordance with those of Trinity Health and is a key driver in the strategic growth and regional expansion.
Mark has over 30 years of experience in a variety of health care settings, including roles in hospital operations, home and community-based care, emergency services, the ambulatory care division, and population health and payor strategy. He served as interim President and CEO for Rome Health, providing operational oversight and execution of strategic repositioning of the organization through the Covid pandemic, before returning to his role as Chief Strategy Officer.
Murphy holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh, a Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College, and completed post-graduate classwork at both Le Moyne College and Syracuse University.
