Jeff Methven

St. Mary's Healthcare

Jeff Methven is president and CEO of St. Mary’s Healthcare (St. Mary’s) in Amsterdam, New York. A local, independent provider, St. Mary’s has been meeting the health care needs of its community with compassion and excellence for 120 years.

Jeff has spent his entire career in health care developing programs that help ensure access to quality care, emphasize the patient experience, and encourage collaboration and workforce development. As the leader of a community hospital, he is committed to continually improving and maintaining the health of individuals, families, and the region as a whole.

Before joining St. Mary’s, Jeff served as executive vice president at Saratoga Hospital. There, he was instrumental in growing the multidisciplinary Saratoga Hospital Medical Group. He also oversaw much of the hospital’s daily operations and was responsible for its outpatient network of more than 20 locations.

A baccalaureate graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, Jeff has an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association, as well as a professional member of the Society for Human Resources Management.
