Joseph Gambino

Joseph Gambino is the Chief Executive Officer at Hometown Health Centers (HHC), the largest federally qualified community health center in Schenectady, NY. Hometown is nationally rec-ognized for its top-quality care and services by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Mr. Gambino served in leadership at HHC for more than 10 years and is credited with guiding the safety-net out of financial crisis and into profitability. Mr. Gambino came to HHC from Fidelis Care, the larges government-sponsored health insurance provider in New York state, where he had statewide responsibility for all public relations efforts and marketing strategies. As is a graduate of the College of St. Rose, a private college in Albany, NY where, Mr. Gambino earned a bachelor’s degree in communications; and in 2018, received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Mr. Gambino serves as Board Chair of the Alliance for Better Health and on a number of other governing boards in the Capital Region, including Health Efficient, Visiting Nurses of Schenectady, and the Healthy Capital District Initiative.
